The CFO Division of DWS has presence in Frankfurt, London, New York and Asia and is responsible for ensuring the sound risk management and financial governance of DWS. The CFO Division comprises Risk, Investor Relations, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Integrated Reporting, Regional CFO teams, Tax, Capital & Liquidity Management, Finance Director teams for the Investment Platform, Coverage and Infrastructure functions and the COO team.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the DWS CFO Process and Data Strategy Team, this role will help drive operational excellence and ensure compliance by optimizing enterprise data management, enterprise process management and strengthening controls. The following will be the key responsibilities:

  • Support Lean Sig Sigma initiatives to optimize processes and process automation.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners to define, document, and maintain standard global processes and ensure consistency, standardization and scalability across finance and business units.
  • Process Documentation and Governance – maintain process maps, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support the design and enforcement of process controls to ensure compliance.
  • Process Performance Management – Define and monitor KPIs/metrics.
  • Support Enterprise Data Management in ensuring that all Finance Material Data Scope Items will be put in the Data Governance Framework (Process and Model Documentation, Data Lineage, Data Security, Data Quality etc)
  • Support Data Strategy Implementation for CFO Division
  • Establishing relationship and working collaboratively across other DWS functions to ensure alignment on data management strategies with organizational goals and to promote data-driven culture across organization.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Enterprise Data Management
  • Strong Knowledge of Finance End-to-End Business Process.
  • Ability to map, analyse, and optimize complex processes across functions.
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge in SAP is a plus.
  • Change management skills to drive adoption of process changes.
  • Strategic thinking with an enterprise-wide perspective
  • Lean Six Sigma Certified (Green Belt or Black Belt) – with experience applying it to Finance processes.
  • Certified Public Accountant is a plus.
  • Control Certifications (SOX or its equivalent) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience in explaining complex processes and issues clearly and concisely to Finance and non-Finance stakeholders.
  • Structured, organized, and results-oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail.
