The Role: Procurement Operations Lead (ARIBA)

The Procurement Operations Lead will be a crucial contributor in supporting all strategic initiatives for the Procurement Organization, including multiple cross-functional projects and implementing best practices per the organization’s policies and compliance standards.

The Procurement Operations Lead will function as a change agent to support business requirements thru the design and configuration of the S2P tool and processes.

This role promotes global procurement operations thru various Agile development cycles working closely with the business, IT support and procurement team to ensure procedures are carried out consistently.

The Procurement Operations Lead is a critical resource working closely with the Sourcing, Contracting, Risk, the IT Technology team, the supplier base for a Fortune 250 global company, and business stakeholders to drive solutions to complex business problems or production issues within the full Ariba suite from sourcing to invoicing.

Functional Competencies

  • Solid experience in implementing Source to Pay processes with spcial interest for:
    • Risk Management
    • AP automation
    • Process Design and documentation
  • Independent Project Management and problem-solving skills required
  • Business Process Management, including flow diagrams and documentation
  • Business acumen in procurement expertise to work effectively with cross-functional teams and to provide guidance
  • Ability to break down complex issues into analyzable segments and organize the collection, interpretation, and solution structure to drive business action
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design application solutions by analyzing functional requirements, studying and creatively leveraging standard capabilities, proposing configuration specifications, and driving project to completion
  • Collaborate with Global Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to establish and continuously improve processes and methods of communication between the Business stakeholders and vendors
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing stakeholders and proactively meet with new stakeholders to develop relationships and understand goals, objectives, and priorities
  • System workflow planning, design, testing, and migration in support of various system implementations and enhancements
  • Lead and participate in multiple Ariba P2P and procurement initiatives
  • Develop and execute test scripts to fully validate user access and permission rules; configure and test complete procurement cycle to meet business requirements. Testing of functionality, enhancements, and revised workflow processes and sign off
  • Assist with the development, identification, and execution of procurement best practices through benchmarking and end-to-end process improvements
  • Design, development, deployment, and maintenance of all non-standard approval workflows supporting business objectives while meeting compliance specifications
  • Assist with the development and execution of procurement reporting in support of day-to-day procurement operations
  • Develop training materials & presentations and perform end-user training on P2P tools and processes domestically and worldwide
  • Management and maintenance of user permissions and roles within Ariba P2P and contracting modules
  • Maintain cutting edge knowledge of Ariba application innovations and developments
  • Oversees the management of operational issues to ensure appropriate priority and a sense of urgency in resolving production issues
  • Manage the executed BAU and daily administrative activities to Procurement Operations and provide guidance/expertise as required
  • Partner closely with the AP team to identify invoice failures and provide resolutions
  • Provide 2nd level support to S2P Service Desk, regional teams, end-users, and vendor support team on P2P processes, including purchasing and invoice reconciliation
  • Participate in audit-related activities
  • Other ad-hoc projects, as requested and directed by business

Qualifications

  • 7+ years' experience in procurement/supply chain/finance/operations management
  • Thorough hands-on and working knowledge of Ariba P2P modules and functional architecture process
  • Deemed “Ariba expert” with a track record of resolving complex operational problems both domestically and regionally
  • BS in Finance, Accounting other relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with strategy development and process implementations
  • Ability to influence and drive business process management within a global context
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to navigate within all functional levels within the organization
  • Engaging and coordinating with functional subject matter experts, such as legal, tax, finance, risk, etc., in support of procurement initiatives
  • Knowledge of Ariba, Ariba Business Network, Oracle, and other vendor management systems
  • Possess strong time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Amenable for UK shift (3pm-12mn Manila)
