The Global Servicedesk Consultant is responsible for providing IT support and assistance to users worldwide, ensuring smooth operations of IT services across an organization.
The Global Servicedesk Consultant in many cases serves as the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues. They provide support via 4ME/Xurrent our ITSM Tool (Ticketing system), ensuring timely resolution or escalation of IT incidents and service requests.
Your Key Responsibilities
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Respond to and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networks, and applications.
- Resolve incidents and service requests using 4ME/Xurrent.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed.
- Assist end-users with IT-related queries and provide step-by-step guidance.
- Ensure clear, professional communication to help users understand solutions.
- Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure resolution.
- Process user requests such as password resets, software installations, and account provisioning.
- Support IT onboarding for new employees.
- Track recurring issues to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Document solutions in the knowledge base for future reference.
- Adhere to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices.
- Ensure data security and compliance with company policies.
- Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, Active Directory, VPN, MS Office, and ticketing systems like ServiceNow, JIRA, TopDesk and preferably 4Me
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot IT issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication for effective user interactions.
- Empathy and patience in handling user concerns and complaints
- Ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan own work independently, able to take initiatives rather than waiting for orders
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus for global support.
- Degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certifications (Preferred): ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified.
- 1–3 years of experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.
