We are looking for a Legal Support Manager to provide legal support for business operations, compliance with legislative requirements, preparation of contracts, and effective resolution of legal issues.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Legal support for the implementation of renewable energy projects in Ukraine;
  • Preparation and review of contractual and other similar documentation (including in English) necessary for the implementation of renewable energy projects, including, but not limited to, EPC contracts, PPAs, equipment supply contracts, service contracts, construction and installation contracts, land lease and easement contracts, consulting services contracts, loan agreements, etc.;
  • Drafting and reviewing other types of legal documentation (including official correspondence, responses to government requests, disclosure requests, KYC questionnaires, NDAs, due diligence reports, legal memoranda, agreements;
  • Legal support of commercial negotiations with developers of renewable energy projects, suppliers, contractors (conclusion and execution of contracts; management of the approval and signing process within the company; providing clarifications to counterparties' requests, drafting contracts and additional agreements, participation in negotiations; other issues that may arise in the process of concluding and executing contracts);
  • Cooperation with internal legal departments of DTEK Group companies on issues of economic competition, corporate finance, corporate governance and legislative initiatives;
  • Representation of DTEK RES in courts, arbitrations, internal affairs bodies, supervisory and inspection bodies or other third parties;
  • Legal support on other organizational and administrative issues, such as: preparation of powers of attorney, internal memos; etc.);
  • Preparation and management of the budget for legal services of DTEK RES companies, making and entering payments, preparing and executing acts of services provided, invoices, and ensuring their timely processing and payment.

Requirements

  • Higher education in Law;
  • Minimum 7 years of work as a legal advisor;
  • Intermediate / Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency;
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial, administrative and corporate law;
  • Excellent legal and strategic skills combined with strong skills in building business partnerships and managing negotiations;
  • Ability to clearly articulate legal risks, develop sound risk mitigation strategies and find effective business solutions, solve problems creatively and delicately, and build working relationships between internal and external organizations;
  • Ability to work on tasks within tight deadlines;
  • Experience in supporting international projects and negotiating contracts (preferred);
  • Availability of a bar certificate;
  • Experience in negotiating the procurement of EPC works, supply and installation of equipment for electricity generation in the renewable energy sector;
