- Negotiates all purchasing conditions like purchasing prices, payment days and other relevant terms & conditions like minimum order quantities.
- Has the authority to buy products in exceptional cases if the company has a shortage.
- Suggests items to be added to his categories.
- Suggests items to drop from his categories.

- Performs regular quality tests, laboratory tests and tastings inside the company for the items in his category, especially before selecting a new item for the assortment.

- Follows up existing contracts with suppliers, and prior to the end of the duration he decides on new contracts.

- Decides which supplier is in charge for deliveries to the different regions.
- Decides on laboratory tests for new and existing products.
- Authorized to sign Purchasing contracts together with the Central Purchasing Officer
Targets of the position:
- Develop categories so that all SKU`s have strong volume and excellent quality.
- In order to do so he does everything possible to become an expert of his categories with excellent knowledge of the local as well as international markets.
- Develop as many Private Labels as possible.
- Ensure lowest cost and best terms and conditions for the company.
- Works with all departments in collaboration in each subject, in order to get the best results for the company.
- In order to stay ahead of competition, it is required to apply the principle of economy to the maximum extent.
Other Qualifications:
- Candidates must have 5 years of work experience as a Category Manager, Merchandiser Manager, Import Manager, Category Buyer or Private Label Development Manager in retail or FMCG manufacturing industries.
- Experience in Private Label development is an advantage.
- Candidates must have a strong personality, excellent negotiation skills, maturity in decision-making, resourcefulness, and be output oriented.
- Must be flexible and willing to be assigned in Taytay Rizal
