ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Junior Digital Marketing Data Analyst, internally known as a Junior Web Analytics Specialist to focus on configuring Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude for setting up and troubleshooting tags, triggers, and variables across ad platforms and websites. Additionally, this role will assist in building data visualizations in Looker Studio to help clients understand their digital performance.

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform the following Google Tag Manager (GTM) configuration tasks:

Set up, configure, and troubleshoot GTM tags, triggers, and variables for platforms including:

Google Ads

Microsoft Ads

Meta Ads

Websites & hotel booking engines

Other third-party marketing and analytics tools

Debug and validate tag firing using GTM preview mode and browser console tools

Ensure all event tracking aligns with GA4 best practices

  • Perform the following Google Analytics 4 (GA4) setup and reporting tasks:

Configure GA4 event tracking, conversions, and eCommerce tracking

Assist in data-layer implementation for custom tracking

Monitor and troubleshoot GA4 discrepancies and data accuracy issues

Build and maintain GA4-based reports for internal and client use

  • Perform the following Looker Studio reporting and data visualization tasks:

Create and optimize Looker Studio dashboards using GA4, Google Ads, and other data sources

Troubleshoot and refine existing dashboards to enhance usability and data accuracy

Work with stakeholders to ensure reports meet business objectives

  • Perform the following additional skills/tasks (nice-to-have):

Assist in exporting and managing GA4 data for advanced analysis (BigQuery)

Perform conversion rate optimization (CRO)

Implement A/B testing tools such as PageSense or VWO

Ensure clean, precise data collection and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with GTM and GA4 (or coursework/certifications if entry-level)
  • Previous experience with digital marketing analytics or advertising tracking
  • Experience building Looker Studio dashboards is a plus
  • Familiar with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (some hands-on experience required)
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript, regex, and data layers (not required but beneficial)
  • A detail-oriented problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude who enjoys troubleshooting and refining data tracking
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
