We are looking for a Business Consultant in Investment Compliance to join our SaaS Delivery team. This role is crucial as it supports our goal to provide first-rate investment compliance solutions to our clients. Qualified candidates should have a background and familiarity with the UCITS regulatory framework or similar.

As part of our team, you will be involved in maintaining and enhancing our investment compliance solutions. You will work closely with experienced colleagues who are experts in investment compliance, promoting an environment of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. This collaborative approach allows us to keep up with the regulatory landscape and deliver significant value to our clients.

You will ensure our platform remains up-to-date with the latest regulations, providing our clients with reliable and comprehensive compliance monitoring. What you will be responsible for:

  • Configure, test, and maintain investment restrictions in SimCorp Dimension (Compliance Manager).
  • Utilize application tools in SimCorp Dimension and Configuration Manager for data import/export (configuration and data).
  • Create, import, and maintain sample data for configuration testing.
  • Transform client requirements into configuration-based solutions in SimCorp Dimension.
  • Perform and document release/unit tests for established and new compliance rules.
  • Deliver detailed documentation containing business information, standard configuration, testing, and changes performed for investment restrictions (configured in SimCorp’s Compliance Manager).
  • Write, review, and update procedures.
  • Support clients during implementation projects and afterwards.
  • Consistently participate in knowledge exchange with colleagues on an international level.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive solutions to meet client requirements, model operational workflows around SimCorp Dimension, customize and deliver standard configuration solutions, and develop new solutions.
  • Customize standard components to meet client requirements.
  • Enhance and optimize existing solutions.
  • Assist clients in developing overall test strategies and test plans, and support them in conducting test cases, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
  • Perform configuration hand-over to colleagues and clients.

What we value:

  • Broad financial market knowledge gained through several years of experience, particularly in the financial sector in one of the following fields: Front Office, Back Office, Accounting, Fund Accounting, Consulting, Professional Services within the financial sector, or an implementation role for a software vendor.
  • Working knowledge of investment fund regulations.
  • Experience with defining investment restrictions and trading limits in financial IT systems.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of asset classes and financial instrument types, including derivatives.
  • Proficient communication skills, especially in virtual collaboration (and in asynchronous communication).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Deep sense of ownership, diligence, and commitment to delivering quality business outcomes.
  • Ability to organize well in a distributed environment with diverse and varied tasks.
  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, Law, Science, Engineering or relevant
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining appropriate levels of collaboration and cooperation with other team members.
  • Drive to optimize, develop, and innovate around solutions and processes.

Additionally, these skills are advantageous:

  • CFA level 1-3, GARP or PRMIA
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • SQL knowledge
  • Practical experience in compliance systems like Sentinel, MIG21, etc.
  • General Business Analysis / Project Management exposure
  • Knowledge of front office or back-office processes and financial transaction workflows
  • High-level understanding of requirements gathering sessions
  • High-level understanding of projects and their lifecycle for the role of a project member
  • Additional language skills: German, French, Italian, Nordic languages.
