Who are we looking for?
We're looking for Senior Primary Design Engineer (HV/EHV) to join our Energy Group to lead the delivery of high-quality projects for our internal, existing, and new clients.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in but not limited to:
- Manage design stakeholders to further best-for-project outcomes. Lead technical delivery teams.
- Define the scope of substation projects with a focus on the Primary HV substation component, bus configurations, design technical solutions, and lead project / design teams to deliver those solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues across service lines.
- Undertake peer reviews of designs completed by others within the discipline.
- Act as Project Manager for medium-sized projects, responsible for project documentation (scope of work etc.) and managing client interactions.
- Proactively manage scope deviations and promptly advise the project team of impact against current working agreements.
- Plan, lead and coordinate resources and ensure project technical & commercial outcomes and client expectations are met.
- Lead the development and submission of proposals for routine projects.
- Communicate with clients about current work and future needs, provide timely updates on project progress.
- At least 8 years of experience within the Electrical Engineering field or related.
- Applies a depth of experience within a job area or broad knowledge of several job areas, demonstrated in a relevant industry or consulting business.
- Registered/licensed/chartered Engineer status (if a requirement of the job).
- Relevant on-site credentials.
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, ETAP etc.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable standards, and familiarity with industry best practice.
