Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is one of the key verticals within Financial Content Operations which caters to clients engaged in equity research. The vertical is basically responsible for providing financial and non-financial information to the clients on companies across the globe. Environment, Social and Corporate Governance team (ESG) provides integrated financial and extra-financial information, which is essential for understanding the long-term performance and risk profile of major corporations. Our comprehensive ESG database covers nearly 80% of the global market cap and over 450 metrics, including all exclusion (ethical screening) criteria and all aspects of sustainability performance.

The data are captured from publicly available information sources and is manually collected to ensure that the information is standardized, comparable and reliable. All of the ESG data collected is quality controlled and verified in a meticulous process by our expert analysts and robust automated checks. The successful candidate ensures that data quality adheres to the standards set for ESG data by providing the necessary training, performing quality checks and handling client queries.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Review the work of the analysts.
  • Be up to date with the latest collection policies and procedures and other significant developments pertaining to different markets which would impact data collection.
  • Take on the responsibility of resolving client queries in a timely manner, with very high standards of quality of response and customer satisfaction. Should be able to take right decisions quickly and independently.
  • Coach analysts on data collection policies and procedures.
  • Continuously find ways to improve quality and reduce number of service requests from clients and to help meet Service targets.
  • Continuously suggest improvement ideas on collection tools, internal processes and should suggest permanent fixes as well as on-going actions for preventing client queries.
  • Carry out special projects or specialized tasks related to the ESG dataset as per the strategic plans.
  • Effectively collaborate with the global team and the data provider to provide high quality data to our clients.

Required Skills:

  • High proficiency in Portuguese language
  • Attention for details
  • Knowledge of ESG processes and products
  • Knowledge or experience in quality principles and concepts
  • Ability to work on set deadlines yet remain flexible if requirements change
  • Very good time management skills
  • Understanding the importance of customer focus and meeting customer needs
  • Logical, investigative and innovative approach to problem solving, strong ability to analyze large volume of data
  • Technical skills (Microsoft Office, Power Platforms)
  • Flexibility to work on APAC or EMEA shift.
