The Accounting Associate is responsible to properly maintain accuracy and completeness of the books of accounts of banks, filing/payment of various tax remittances and compliance with BIR current tax requirements, submission of internal reports to management and external reports to regulatory bodies and compliance with the bank policies on bookkeeping and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounting entries for UCAG-BKD transactions
  • Computation of Monthly Income Taxes and Gross Receipts Taxes for Banks
  • Regular tax filings and remittances for the Banks for Income Taxes, Value Added Taxes, Withholding Taxes and Fringe Benefits Taxes via Electronic Filing and Payment System (EFPS), E-BIR Facility, E-Submission Facility and other modes of payment as may be required
  • Submission of reports and schedules to the regulatory bodies: Bureau of Internal revenue (BIR), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Local Government Unit (Makati LGU)
  • Coordination with and submission of schedules to the external auditors
  • Updates of the GL and SL balances for UCAG accounts and submission of Monthly Proof and Verification Reports
  • Consolidation and checking of the Creditable Withholding Tax Certificates for valid claim against Income Tax Due
  • Preparation and releasing of Creditable Withholding Tax Certificates from E-Proc transactions
  • Handling accruals for intercompany cost recoveries from Subsidiaries
  • Maker activities for eProc requested items
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accountancy or management accounting
    • Knowledge of complete accounting process; familiar with tax computations, BIR regulations and accounts reconciliation
