What’s The Role All About?

To support in the monitoring and review of technical services and programs to safeguard the safe and reliable operation of all PAL aircraft engines and APU {including its accessories) while maintaining the high­ level of cost-effectiveness.

Who Are We Looking For?

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineer or related courses
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in collaborating with internal or external stakeholders
  • Strong technical and analytics skills and can demonstrate leadership capabilities and a collaborative team player
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Major Responsibility Areas

Duties and Responsibilities:

To ensure the implementation and timely compliance of the following:

  • Agreed modification policy (modification class category) betweenPAL and the maintenance provider for engines and APU (including its accessories)
  • Applicable mandatory modifications and inspections required by the Aviation Authorities for the engine and APU (including its accessories)
  • Major and minor repairs and modifications for on-wing engines and APU
  • Spare Engine and APU Availability Monitoring

To recommend improvements while monitoring and reviewing the establishment/development and implementation of the following:

  • On-wing Engine/APU day-to-day maintenance (which includes among others, but not limited to, trend monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks planning) for PAL aircraft engines/APU (including its accessories)
  • Special programs, Removal/Shop Visit forecasts, work scopes and other on-wing and off-wing services for PAL aircraft engines and APU
  • Engine scrap parts review
  • Applicable manufacturers' modifications and inspections pertaining to engines and APU (including its accessories)
  • Major and minor deviations from OEM Manuals during engine or component shop maintenance
  • Engine Shop Level Reliability Program.

To support Manager- Powerplant & APU in the following:

  • Technical evaluation of engine and APU parts for exchange
  • Validation of engine/APU invoices and Customer Orders to ascertain that the costs billed conform to the specified work scope and the applicable service agreement with the maintenance provider, repair/overhaul provider, OEM, or vendor
  • Contract negotiations for powerplant (engines and APU) and aircraft lease, sale, purchase, loan, delivery/redelivery, and other similar contracts such as the maintenance service agreement and the general terms agreement
  • The review and validation of aircraft documentation/reports required to be submitted periodically (Refer to GMM 4.3.6 (Technical Records)) to the Aviation Authority through PAL Quality Department
  • Acts as a member of the Safety Action Group and/or heads a respective Line Safety Team (LST) as assigned by the manager.
