Project Manager
Job Summary
Primarily responsible for managing the delivery of Bank of Commerce projects approved by the Senior Executive Team. This includes the following:
•End-to-end project management and ownership of the Project Management Lifecycle
•Management of project timelines, delivery of project activities, project work plan, management of the project’s technical issues and risks, submission of regular (weekly/periodic) reports and updates, and project documentation
Responsibilities
- Forms, leads and coordinates with project stakeholders (project team, steering committee, cross-functional teams namely Business, Technical, Operations, Legal, Procurement, etc.)
- Manages all activities in the project lifecycle (Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Controlling, Closing and Benefits Realization Review) across one or more lines of business
- Works with business partners and all stakeholders to clarify and define project requirements and business case, including development of a statement of work
- Facilitates the preparation and approval of a Project Charter, Business Case and Project Plan
- Creates and manages the project workplan and work breakdown structure (WBS), and monitor all tasks to ensure that each task is within the project schedule
- Ensures that project monitoring, controlling and reporting structures are in place and according to defined governance methods and standard processes
- Ensures proper turnover/transition of the project to users (Business Units and DSG Infrastructure and Operations)
- Conducts lessons learned, project implementation reviews, assessment of project team’s performance, and project closure
- Ensures that the Benefits Realization reviews are conducted and the presented to Senior Management.
- Ensures that all phases of the project are properly and completely documented.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience in Project Management/Project Implementation
- Familiar and experienced in Banking applications
- Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle
- Collaborative, team worker, service-oriented
- With good attention to details
- With ability to handle multiple projects
