Network Engineer
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer Support professional to join our team. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to our client's network infrastructure. You will work closely with our clients, senior network engineers, team leaders, and IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of our client’s network systems and assist in resolving network-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the network 24/7 to identify any anomalies or issues.
- Proactively manage the network to prevent potential downtime or performance degradation.
- Monitoring network devices for performance issues and addressing any maintenance needs. This may include monitoring network traffic, analyzing logs, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Ensure network availability and performance meet client’s requirement.
- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents, problems, and inquiries.
- Assist in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Collaborate with client’s support / network group to implement network changes, upgrades, and patches.
- Follow established processes and procedures for incident management, change management, and problem resolution.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in network asset management, including inventory tracking and documentation.
- Stay up to date with the latest network technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in a network support role or a similar position.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with network devices and technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting tools and techniques.
- Basic understanding of network & security principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- CCNA training & certification is a plus but not required
