Job Title: Production Accountant

Job Summary:
Satellite Teams is seeking a detail-oriented Production Accounting Specialist to support our U.S.-based clients. In this role, you’ll be primarily responsible for assisting in audits of commercial budgets versus actuals to ensure accurate project closure, while managing a range of accounting tasks related to production activities. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in audits of commercial budgets vs. actuals to accurately close all project income and costs.
- Review and audit crew payroll invoices, vendor invoices, purchase orders, credit card logs, check logs, and petty cash logs.
- Communicate with personnel at all levels to gather and provide necessary information, ensuring timely completion of internal audits.
- Record transactions such as income, cost of goods sold (COGS), and expenses, posting them to appropriate accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding audit discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
- Liaise with the U.S. team to address production-related inquiries and issues.
- Perform and manage production accounting activities across the organization.
- Adhere to and maintain accounting standards and procedures to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain complete and organized accounting documentation for reference purposes.
- Generate various financial reports as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant computer applications.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with PointZero or ShowBiz software (a plus but not required).
- Payroll background knowledge (a plus).
- Production accounting experience or exposure (a plus but not required).
