Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Risk Management Officer responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks related to quality, environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (QEHSS). This role involves developing risk management strategies, maintaining a risk register, coordinating risk-related activities, and ensuring the organization is prepared for potential disruptions through effective business continuity planning. The RMO plays a key role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in QEHS risk management.
The Risk Management Officer shall lead and organize the development of Business Continuity Plan related to climate risks and other risks associated to quality, health, and safety.
The Risk Management Officer is a key player in promoting a culture continuous improvement within the organization. The position is a unique and dynamic role that requires exposure on strategic, compliance, and experience in critical thinking and stakeholder management to protect the business and to meet the organization's QEHSS objectives.
The Risk Management Officer may be assigned additional proje c ts as deemed necessary by the immediate superior to align with business needs and priorities
What Are Their Job Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments related to workplace hazards, environmental impact, and health risks.
Develop and maintain a risk register that includes mitigation strategies specific to Quality and EHS concerns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address emerging risks and prevent escalation.
Lead QEHSS risk working groups to drive risk mitigation initiatives.
Coordinate investigations of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Organize and conduct regular drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of the BCP.
Continuously review and update the BCP based on test outcomes, changing risk profiles, and emerging threats.
Develop communication strategies for managing crises related to quality, food safety, and EHS.
Act as the point of contact for all Quality and EHS risk-related communications within the organization.
Prepare regular reports on the status of QEHSS risk registry and BCP. Work closely with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to BCP deployment.
Participate in cross-functional teams' discussion to address emerging risks on QEHSS.

What Are The Qualifications
- With 3-5 years relevant experience in Quality, EHS, or Sustainability on a food manufacturing and/or food and beverage operations, preferably in systems, processes, operational discipline
- With knowledge and experience on quality, food safety, environment, health, safety management systems
- With knowledge on Food Manufacturing and Supply Chain (including warehousing, distribution, vendor management) operations and processes
- With knowledge on QEHS standards and regulatory requirements
- With the ability to influence the organization and make sound conclusions/recommendation through systems and program deployment
- With proficient oral and written communication and presentation (visualization) skills
- With exceptional listening skills and good interpersonal/networking skills
- With proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (O365, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint)
- Can work in a dynamic environment that involves local travel
