General Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Microsoft Platform Security Analyst to join our client's team. As a key member of their Managed Service Provider (MSP) practice, you will be responsible for ensuring the robust protection of client systems and data within Microsoft environments. This role involves monitoring, managing, and enhancing the security posture of our customer environments, responding to security incidents, and conducting regular security assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Platform Management: Maintain and monitor the security posture of customer environments, leveraging Microsoft security tools and solutions.
  • Incident Response: Define and lead the response to security incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting. Implement integration and automation opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular internal and customer security assessments, manage remediation efforts, and define tools and processes to help streamline operations.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to relevant security standards and regulations, and assist clients in achieving compliance.
  • Client Communication: Interface with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions based on our Security Assured program.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the security team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.


Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft security tools and solutions, including Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft 365 security features.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze security data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve security issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team-oriented environment and leading security initiatives. Willingness to assist the core MSP Service Desk team with backup or escalation of issues and requests as needs arise.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900), Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200), or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a security analyst role, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.


Desired Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
