Logistics Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
The Transportation Analyst is accountable for the management of all inbound and outbound analysis. This job is responsible for the timely communication of all carrier and transportation updates to the Operations teams. This job provides analytical support for all Transportation management functions to ensure cost control, service levels, information flow, as well as enforce compliance. The Transportation Analyst assists with the development of transportation initiatives as an integral part of the Operations team.
- Working Hours: US Hours, Hybrid
- Processes shipment requests, quotes and other general inquiries
- Coordinates with Carrier Services
- Data Management Activities (Excel)
- Utilizes Transport Management System & Pricing tools
- Monitors shipments: Planning/ scheduling inbound & outbound shipments
- Interfaces with customers, shippers, and carriers to resolve any problems associated with scheduling and dispatching
- Complies with TATs, Pricing and SLAs on Distribution/ Logistics
