Job Summary
The Finance Controller is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's financial operations. Reporting directly to the CEO & General Manager, this position ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The role is essential to support the expansion of business operations, streamline financial processes, and provide data-driven insights to drive informed decision-making. The Finance Controller will align financial practices with business goals to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and support sustainable growth.
- Work Set-Up: Hybrid (WFH 2x a week)
- Schedule: 8AM-5PM (flexible on onsite days)
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to local tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal company policies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and models to align with organizational goals.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain liquidity and support business expansion initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to optimize financial operations and processes.
- Internal Controls: Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risks.
- E-Commerce Operations: Oversee financial operations for e-commerce platforms, ensuring accurate sales reporting and reconciliations.
- Strategic Planning: Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to the CEO to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a Financial Controller role.
- Industry Knowledge: FMCG industry experience is a strong advantage; familiarity with retail, e-commerce, and health & wellness sectors is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks is an advantage.
- E-Commerce Expertise: Strong understanding of digital sales channels and modern trade operations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams in dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
