Responsibilities
- Server, Network, and IT Administration – Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and corporate systems, including SaaS platforms, telephony, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/RackSpace).
- Technical Support & Helpdesk – Manage helpdesk tickets (ZenDesk, Jira), diagnose and resolve technical issues, and provide network and web service support for all company users.
- Network Infrastructure & Security – Configure, install, and maintain switches, firewalls, routers, and gateways; manage firewalls across multiple sites (on-prem, colocation, cloud); ensure secure and optimized network performance.
- System Monitoring & Maintenance – Monitor and optimize servers, hardware, software, and cloud services; maintain backups, disaster recovery protocols, and technical documentation.
- Advanced Networking & Forensics – Expertise in network analysis tools (Solarwinds, Wireshark, Fluke), server load balancing (Cisco, NetScaler, F5), WAN optimization, and protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Qualifications
- Education & Experience – Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5-7 years as a Senior Network/Systems Administrator. Relevant certifications (CCNA, Net+, CCNP, Fortinet, Microsoft MCE) preferred.
- Technical Expertise – Proficient in Windows, macOS, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki. Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network security (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection), and cloud administration.
- Systems & Security Management – Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, endpoint protection, and next-gen security technologies. Skilled in network configurations (WAN/LAN, VPNs, NAC, NAT, IPSec, SSL Tunnels) and Fiber/SAN administration (Cisco, Brocade, EMC, Palo Alto).
- Collaboration & Problem-Solving – Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across departments.
