Product Management Head
As a Product Management Head, you will coordinate with the bank’s business managers from the different units within the Financial Markets Segment (FMS) - Treasury, Trust, Wealth, Equities, and Investments Solutions to develop new and review/improve existing FMS products for the bank. The product range includes fixed income, FX, investment, derivative, and other financial instruments that serve client's and the bank treasury's investment and trading needs.
It also includes working with internal functions of the bank such as IT, Change Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to aid in the infrastructure development and enhancement (systems, platforms, and processes) for the business.
The scope of the role spans conceptualization, definition of the customer value proposition, product creation, draft/approval of change and licensing requirements, documentation of manuals, policies and procedures, vendor selection, testing, training, implementation, and maintenance.
How you'll contribute
- Performs other duties and responsibilities including ad-hoc tasks as assigned
- Works with the FMS units and internal functions of the bank (IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management, etc.) on product and infrastructure matters. The role may also assist sales teams in responding to client queries
- Articulates requirements and project needs pertaining to product and infrastructure development
- Actively engages in dialogue with the bank’s business managers to observe and understand the market and trends in client preferences and demands
- Has ability to view products and services from a client perspective to assess which aspects, features, and functionalities appeal to clients
- Manages conflicting preferences and trade-offs involving various units of the bank to ensure balanced decision-making
- Develops and designs the processes, risks, and benefits of changes to existing products of the bank
- Regularly meets with the business managers to brainstorm new ideas for the purpose of challenging and enhancing existing products / processes
- Prepares manuals and procedures for changes to bank products and coordinates with concerned units for sign-off and launch/implementation
- Defines business requirements for new and change initiatives involving infrastructure and actively participates in the project lifecycle
- Monitors performance and provides training for changes in products, systems, and procedures to concerned units
- Provides system and product training as needed to concerned units
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering
- Preferably with 10-15 years of experience
- Must have a basic understanding of the interdependent relationship of the FMS Product Development Team with FMS and non-FMS units across the bank (Wholesale Banking, Retail Banking, Business Banking)
- Has a basic understanding of the fixed income, foreign exchange, trust, and derivatives markets. Must have a basic understanding of macroeconomics
- Should be cognizant of all internal & external rules, regulations and procedures – including BSP Circulars, SEC regulations, PDEX guidelines, market conventions, etc.
- Good communication (verbal/written) & presentation skills
- Highly motivated / proactive / analytical
- Ability to work with functions across the bank such as Risk Management, Finance, IT, Operations, Compliance, etc.
