Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Direction:
- Lead the strategic planning and management of the Climate & Nature Business Line, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects, guiding teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Work with Country Managing Director and PH leadership team to ensure team and individual goals and activities always support overall Country and Global Business Line objectives and KPIs
- Provide insights about local market trends, client demands, and country challenges
- High-Level Business Development & Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain senior-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and driving consulting sales efforts.
- Represent the company in key client interactions, ensuring that services align with client needs and strategic goals.
- Oversee business development efforts for potential local clients, ensuring offerings of the Business Line are adapted to country needs; Manage coordination with key business line stakeholders for RFP preparations, approval, and alignment with Business Line targets.
- Innovation and Process Improvement:
- Drive innovation by developing and implementing high-level strategies that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Advocate and lead efforts to continuously improve processes, tools, and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Team Oversight and Development:
- Provide leadership and oversight to project teams, ensuring that they are motivated, performance-driven, and aligned with company objectives, and equipped with the resources needed to succeed. Mentor and develop senior staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Operational Excellence and Resource Management:
- Ensure the efficient allocation of resources across multiple projects, optimizing team performance and operational workflows
- Monitor key project performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure they meet or exceed organizational and client standards
- Monitor chargeability of PH-based team members and profitability of projects, working closely with the Country MD on management reporting
- Strong working knowledge of climate change science, carbon accounting, carbon offsets (industrial and nature based) and the drivers for and against decarbonisation across the economy.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical), or Science (Chemistry, Environmental) or equivalent experience (minimum 7 years) specializing in Chemical/Materials/Electrical Engineering and Sustainability.
- Master’s degree or further professional qualifications in business administration or organizational leadership or a project management professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in environmental compliance, environmental management, or sustainability, with at least 5+ years in a project management or leadership role Proficiency in project management and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello, Asana, Power BI or equivalent an advantage
- Strong financial acumen, including expertise in budgetary estimates, resource cost optimization, and P&L management
- Experience managing large-scale projects with a strong focus on strategic alignment and process improvement with proven expertise in high-level strategic planning, ensuring service delivery aligns with business objectives.
- Skilled in building strong, lasting relationships with clients, fostering trust and collaboration to ensure long-term partnerships
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling collaboration and relationship building across teams, departments and various regions Excellent project management skills, ensuring programs are delivered consistently; meeting budget and schedule expectations.
