Summary:
This position reports to the Head of Procurement for the Asia Pacific region and is responsible for managing all local sourcing activities within a designated country or countries. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers to ensure that procurement processes are aligned with corporate strategies and contribute to achieving business objectives.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
- Lead the development and implementation of sourcing strategies in line with global guidelines and regional policies.
- Manage day-to-day operations of local supplier relationships including negotiation of contracts and resolution of disputes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, legal, quality assurance, engineering etc., to identify opportunities for cost reduction through improved supply chain management practices.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential new vendors and products/services which could provide value add to the organization.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers based on key metrics such as price, delivery, quality and service levels.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve issues related to product quality, technical support, logistics, payment terms & conditions etc., in order to improve overall supplier performance.
- Updating monthly reporting (saving, pipeline, KPI & etc)
- Manage procurement related Audit (internal & external)
- Conduct RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ etc.) that is appropriate to the type of Goods and/or Services required and in accordance with procurement policies and category strategies and also the day to day PRPO transaction.
- Manage the establishment of contracts using the appropriate contract templates and obtain support from the Legal department when needed
- Ensure that contracts and claims are closed out properly
- Experience in monitoring Spend Analysis
- Manage local procurement activities
- Manage department KPI
- Proactively to source for business opportunities (relate to saving) and engagement to business partners
Are you a MATCH?
The successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience in procurement/supply chain management roles, preferably within multinational companies operating across diverse geographies.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies and tools such as RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ), e-sourcing platforms, spend analysis software etc.
- Experience in leading cross-functional projects involving multiple departments and external parties.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, as well as fluency in local languages where required.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in supply chain risk management, sustainability initiatives, and supplier diversity programs.
- Able to pick up in a fast paced environment & complex business line (with user)
