Job Description:

The Business Development Associate Manager for online payments will create strategies to grow the ShopeePay online merchant portfolio. He/She will oversee team performance, conduct project scoping, feasibility, and execution, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. The successful candidate will cultivate strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive transaction volume and expand ShopeePay’s market presence.

  • Develop and implement acquisition strategies to onboard relevant, high-volume online merchants, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities, crafting strategic partnerships to expand revenue streams and address partners’ needs.
  • Proactively conduct cold calls, emails, and partner visits to acquire new key online merchants.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and pitches to promote ShopeePay Merchant Solutions to potential partners.
  • Monitor and manage the team’s key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring timely and successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal, Finance) to execute merchant programs and deliver seamless integration.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports to the management team, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Report directly to the Business Development Head, providing updates on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the fintech, payments, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Proven track record in acquiring and managing online merchant accounts, with a strong understanding of the digital payments ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in preparing reports and interpreting data.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace tools.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and adaptable to changing business needs.
