Jr. Purchasing & Supply Chain Coordinator
JR. PURCHASING & SUPPLY CHAIN ASSOCIATE
We are looking for an Offshore Resource to join the TVape family as a Jr. Purchasing & Supply Chain Associate. Any interested applicant is required to work in our time zone without exception: CEST Time zone (Berlin) from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
The primary responsibility of the Jr. Purchasing & Supply Chain Associate is to manage speedy and efficient inventory flow, coordinate purchase orders with manufacturers and vendors, coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers and customs government entities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain records in the CMS and ERP system related to purchase orders and their ETDs, Shipments and their ETAs and information flow to internal teams and external partners.
- Fully support the Purchasing Manager with internal and external purchase order and sourcing related tasks and communications
- Fully support The Sr. Supply Chain Supervisor with internal and external logistics related tasks and communications for ocean, air and ground shipments
- Assure consistent, speedy and cost-efficient flow of goods from purchase order placement to item receipt in all regions while being fully on top of goods in production and in transit.
- Submit warranty replacements to Vendors and retrieve credit notes to apply on vendor shortcomings, such as under-delivery and damaged goods
- Manage Vendor payment entries as per due dates, track and follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues with vendors
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business or other relevant fields
- Top of the class students in relevant fields of study with no experience (top of the class = top 10%)! OR 2+ yrs. experience in purchasing, logistics or supply chain operations
- Must be willing to work in CEST Time zone (Berlin) from 10AM to 6:30PM (±1 hour flexibility based on request of CPO)
- Understanding in standard business practices in supply chain structures, processes and goods flow globally such as China, Germany, Canada and USA
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in speaking and writing English (Mandarin is a plus but not required)
- Proficient or expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) with focus on Excel
- High attention to detail with ability to identify and focus on important matters while not getting distracted with side-topics
- Adamantly recognize errors throughout all activities and minimize error rates on processed tasks over time.
Compensation starts at $500 USD per month and goes up to $550 USD per month after six months working with us, with a chance to grow further in the Purchasing and Supply Chain department towards an Assistant role or similar.
