Role Overview
- Develops and implements a comprehensive security architecture that aligns with the organization's goals and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures all on-premises and cloud infrastructures are proactively secured, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing solutions to mitigate risks
- Designs and enforces policies, IT systems that grant users and systems the minimum levels of access necessary to perform their functions, thereby reducing the potential for misuse or compromise.
- Implements and advocates for a Zero Trust security model, which assumes that threats could exist both inside and outside the network. Constantly verify the identity and integrity of every entity accessing the organization's resources.
- Conducts regular security assessments and audits to identify risks and vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure and develop plans to address them
- Works closely with IT teams, developers, and business units to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the technology lifecycle.
- Assesses and recommends new security tools and technologies to enhance the company's security framework. Annual budget reporting should include a detailed assessment of the current technology stack, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending updates to enhance security and efficiency
- Bachelor's Degree Holder
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of security principles, including least privilege and zero trust, along with hands-on experience securing both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Experience with Security Tools: Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and encryption.
- Cloud Security: In-depth knowledge of cloud security practices and experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty and the likes are highly desirable.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capacity to lead cross-functional teams in implementing security measures.
