The position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the business unit's operations comply with all the relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position plays a key role in minimizing compliance risk and promoting a culture of compliance across all levels.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze evolving regulatory requirements impacting Agency Banking.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the business unit and regulatory authorities (internal and external) regarding Agency Banking compliance matters.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of policies and procedures for Agency Banking.
  • Ensure that all policies are effectively communicated and regularly updated.
  • Establish and maintain a monitoring system to defer potential compliance violations.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential agents and partners to evaluate risk profile.
  • Design and deliver compliance training programs including new onboarding programs for Agency Banking personnel and agents, ensuring awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or any related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in compliance and risk management roles, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to Agency Banking, such as anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and consumer protection regulations.
  • Must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Ortigas.
