Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance of the entities with applicable legislation (product compliance and HSE regulations), internal and external requirements, and group standards & policies (Responsible Care & Corporate Social Responsibility).
- Ensure compliance of local items’ Safety Data Sheet, documents and regulatory alerts, in cooperation with local entities representatives.
- Keep all SHEQ & product related permits and licenses to operate across the geographic area of responsibility available and up-to-date.
- Responsible for the Regional Quality Management System (ISO 9001) implementation, certification, monitoring and continuous improvement of the same.
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of any other applicable certification standards as requested by business (ISO 14000, GMP, GMP+, RSPO, etc.) in the geographic area of responsibility.
- Participate to local Management meetings to ensure top down and bottom up communication of decisions and actions.
- Implementation of applicable legislation, authorizations, permits, and licenses needed for the business.
- In cooperation with local representatives, ensure good contacts with authorities regarding reporting obligations and crisis management (recall of products), and third parties.
- Act as a contact point for the commercial department during the introduction of new products in accordance to SHEQ criteria and regulations and in cooperation with local representatives.
- Responsible for Incidents or near misses reporting, and their investigation,
- Responsible for the Risk Management process, conduct and maintain the risk register
- Conduct Environment, Health & Safety inspection/audit inductions to all employee and subcontractors.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System and the ISO 9001 certification
- Creation and management of procedures, processes and records based on local requirements linked to new business opportunities.
- Review and approval of quality agreements with suppliers, customers, and logistics service providers.
- Responsible for the preparation of the SHEQ input for the management review and KPIs, and report to RMD and local Management.
- Ensure the efficient and correct organization of external and internal audits; monitor the local entities audit plan and act as internal auditor when required.
- Training of employees on the relevant SHEQ matters, including the Quality Management System.
- Follow up the SHEQ aspects of subcontracted parties (warehouses, transport companies, toll manufacturers, blenders, labs, etc.) in coordination with local Supply chain teams.
- In collaboration with business owners: reply to customer’s product claims and/or quality issues, and ad-hoc SHEQ-related questions from customers.
- Ensure full support on SHEQ business towards business (e.g. customer visits, legislation, advise, etc.).
