Position Summary & Purpose
The Compliance & Assurance Officer is responsible for carrying out assurance activities that will contribute to the achievement of Lendi Group’s objectives, strong risk management, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role plays an important part in contributing to the achievement of Lendi Group’s objectives, strong risk management, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role sits within the centralised Risk, Compliance and Legal (CRL) team and will have exposure to the broader team and the ability to assist with various tasks within the CRL team.

Position Summary & Purpose
The Compliance & Assurance Officer is responsible for carrying out assurance activities that will contribute to the achievement of Lendi Group’s objectives, strong risk management, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role plays an important part in contributing to the achievement of Lendi Group’s objectives, strong risk management, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The role sits within the centralised Risk, Compliance and Legal (CRL) team and will have exposure to the broader team and the ability to assist with various tasks within the CRL team.
Position Responsibilities
- Complete investigations and assurance reviews which include, call audits, post settlement sales compliance reviews, broker reviews and post settlement targeted file reviews.
- Send real-time feedback to the appropriate audience (Sales Leader, Sales Manager, Franchisee, Associate Team Leader, CS Team Leader) regarding the results of the File Review conducted.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align compliance practices across departments and address any gaps.
- Support the Compliance & Assurance Team Manager with preparing reports including insights and trends for relevant stakeholders in addition to outlining findings and recommendations on remedial actions.
- Participate in the Calibration/Rate-the-Rater sessions with the rest of the Sales Compliance Team to ensure alignment with the Post-Settlement File Review Questionnaire.
- Support the CRL team in the creation and finalisation of lender audit reviews, ad hoc projects.
- Maintain Lighthouse risk management system, which includes following up stakeholders for relevant data and updates on incidents, issues, KRIs and other matters.
- Assist and follow up the business in the completion of supplier risk assessments.
- Assist with ASIC reference checks for brokers.
- Monitor/track the broker follow up review process.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the Broker Governance Panel.
- Assist with tasks of the Legal team, including the maintenance of the contract register.
- Assist with the preparation and facilitation of internal or external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
- More generally, provide support on ad hoc and project work of the CRL team.
- 2 years experience in a Quality Assurance or Compliance Officer role
- Proficiency in analysing trends and generating insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Ability to work with others and build good relationships.
- Ability to identify gaps and ensure alignment in compliance processes
- Ability to improve processes, provide solutions, and problem-solve (preferred).
- Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (preferred).
- Familiarity of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards, such as Best Interest Duty, Responsible Lending, ASIC, and other relevant guidelines (preferred).
