Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Selection Management
- Design and establish a comprehensive IT vendor sourcing and selection framework that includes standardization and implementation of RFIs, RFPs, and POCs.
- Evaluate business case and requirements to determine appropriate procurement routes and contract types.
- Develop detailed pre-qualification questionnaires and RFI/RFP specifications based on market knowledge.
- Direct the comparative analysis of proposals against established requirements, negotiate favorable contract terms, and ensure alignment with strategic business needs.
- Evaluate proposals based on strategic fit, cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance, preparing acceptance documentation, and advising on contracts and SLAs.
- Develop and manage a robust vendor database to enhance sourcing capabilities for current and future projects.
- Formulate the guidelines for continuous improvement in vendor engagement strategies.
- Evaluate IT vendor contracts and facilitate approval, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, security, and data privacy standards and policies.
- Proactively manage and optimize risk-reward mechanisms, ensuring alignment with business objectives as outlined in the business case.
- Analyze contracts and ensure that it explicitly incorporate and clearly define performance metrics, establishing rigorous standards for accountability and evaluation.
- Manage the processes of contract renewal, amendment, and its closure or termination.
- Serve as the principal liaison for vendors on all contractual matters, facilitating effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement comprehensive vendor performance management tools and processes.
- Evaluate vendor performance against contractual obligations, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous improvement.
- Direct and facilitate performance review meetings with vendors, proactively addressing and resolving incidents or issues to maintain and enhance service quality.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive performance reports to executive management, offering insights and actionable recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with key internal stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment on vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Cultivate and strengthen strategic partnerships with potential vendors and industry partners to enhance business capabilities and opportunities.
- Continuously update and deepen knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in IT vendor sourcing, contract management, and performance enhancement strategies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT vendor management, project management, or contract management, with a proven track record in strategic sourcing and vendor evaluation.
- Experience in IT vendor performance management, with a focus on IT projects.
- Operational knowledge of IT systems, software development life cycle, project management life cycle, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, CMMI, PMBOK, COBIT, ITIL, etc.
- Knowledge of BSP outsourcing regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
