Job Description
- Dispatch vehicle drivers to route based on the hub requirements FM, hub to hub, IIS.
- Maintain a database information of all the assignment fleet and drivers
- Coordinate with VR Allocation and monitoring team, with different activity versus the vehicle requirements.
- Implements vehicle activities consistent with policies and procedures set by SPX to promote safe, cost-effective, and appropriate operation of all SPX owned vehicles.
- Daily inventory cycle count of all available SPX Owned fleet that will cover the pick-up of assigned sellers. Set up, track, forecast, and report vehicle inventory
- Identify cost savings opportunities and potential efficiencies related to fleet, like cost analysis of the rates.
- Coordinate pool vehicles for assigned locations and receive recall reports and send notification to drivers as needed.
- Plans, directs, and controls the daily scheduling and allocation of fleet equipment and drivers
- In charge of dispatching and communication functions to create optimal utilization of the fleet
- Maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure safe operation & compliance with regulatory requirements
- First point of contact for all drivers and facilities including but not limited to delivery/pick up information, delivery times, routing, driver locations, and any other concerns of drivers or facility personnel
- Monitors the performance of drivers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance of SPX by advocating all company best practices developed to attain all related goals
- Check in drivers as they arrive from their runs ensuring that all paperwork is completed and correct, determine available starting times for their next dispatch and completes data entry to update trip data
- Identify and prepare a list of available drivers for the next schedule of deliveries bearing in mind available hours, regulations/compliance, and customer needs
- Observe professional and work ethics that abide within the SPX policies
- Achieve KPI target set by the department
- Perform duties and task assigned by the reporting lead
- At least 1 to 2 years of work experience in logistics
- At least 2 years of college education, preferably college grad of any course strong and pleasing personality
