About Tarro

Here at Tarro we build products that empower small brick and mortar restaurants by liberating them of the operational burden of running their business. We accomplish this by providing a frictionless connection between them and their customers through our multi-product ecosystem offering AI-enabled order taking, delivery enablement, payment solutions, and point-of-sale software. At Tarro, we use a combination of bits (technology) and atoms (people) to solve real world problems facing small business owners.

We obsess over placing our customers first and working backwards from there. When our customers succeed, we succeed. The restaurant industry in the US is over a $1 trillion total addressable market (TAM), but remains relatively underserved by technology. Large chains are able to afford expensive tech that gives them a huge advantage; we believe that small restaurant owners deserve access to the same technologies at an affordable price.

Tarro has been profitable for nearly a decade and seen 5x revenue growth in the last three years. As of our last fundraising round in mid-2022, we were valued at $450M and have since seen substantial growth across customer acquisition, product development and company headcount. Thousands of loyal restaurants have entrusted Tarro with their success, and together we have supported nearly 20 million customers. We are proud to be named one of Built In’s top companies to work for in 2023.

About The Role

At Tarro, our ability to help restaurants thrive is only as strong as how well we represent their menu, operations, and order-taking preferences in our system. As a Senior Product Implementation Manager, you will take on a critical leadership role in ensuring Tarro configures restaurants correctly and with high quality on our platform. This role requires a mix of deep product expertise, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to create a seamless onboarding experience that allows restaurants to leverage the full potential of our system.

Your work will directly impact how easily restaurants can adopt and rely on our system, making their operations more efficient and their businesses more successful. You’ll need to collaborate with a wide set of teams, across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Restaurant Success. If you’re excited about solving complex onboarding challenges and building a best-in-class implementation experience, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Own the end-to-end restaurant configuration process, working closely with Tarro restaurants to build and configure their menus, ordering preferences, and operational workflows within Tarro’s platform
  • Partner closely with restaurants to uncover needs they may not even be aware of, proactively applying best practices and introducing new system capabilities to enhance their operations.
  • Lead and grow one of the most important teams at Tarro by setting and maintaining a high talent bar and establishing performance management and quality assurance processes.
  • Scale implementation excellence: Develop and refine playbooks, automation, and repeatable processes to enable faster and more effective restaurant onboarding at scale.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to help define and drive product enhancements to improve the team’s output and quality of work

Year One Deliverables

  • Learn to use our product like our internal users do. Not only the product implementation team, but also our agents who take calls for restaurants, since they are the main user of our menu configurations.
  • Improve the Restaurant Onboarding Process to reduce onboarding mistake count.
  • Improve the Live Support process to meet SLA adherence on incoming tickets.
  • Build and train a great team of product implementation specialists and pod leads.

About You

  • You have 5+ years of experience in product implementation, onboarding, product management or project management roles within a SaaS, restaurant technology, or startup environment.
  • You have 2+ years of experience directly managing teams
  • You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex configuration challenges and provide creative solutions.
  • You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver seamless implementations.
  • You have a bias for action, proactively identifying ways to improve onboarding efficiency and drive better customer outcomes.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with menu configuration, POS integrations, or restaurant technology is a plus.
