The Opportunity
TP Group is building a new line of business centered around B2B Sales and Revenue-as-a-Service. As a result, we are investing heavily in building the strategy and the team to accelerate growth while supporting and educating local business development (BD) teams on this new offering to ensure we are presenting a solid, consistent story to the market that showcases the value TP can bring to our clients in this area.
The Operational Excellence Director (OED) will work across all of TP’s B2B sales programs to drive global support, share best practices, and serve as an SME for global sales programs. As an operational consultant, the OED will own the global sales structure and support the sites to ensure it is implemented effectively. When there are issues, the OED is expected to work with the site to understand RCA and support with solution design. Day to day, the OED will understand current performance to share with leadership, share best practices, and, where necessary, help implement new workflows.

- Formulate and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency across all B2B sales programs globally. Act as an operational consultant to all in-country operations teams.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement and foster a culture of excellence by sharing best practices and success stories across different sales operations teams to enhance overall performance (e.g., gamification in coaching/training).
- Work collaboratively with operations teams globally to align operational goals and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
- Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to report on operational performance, providing high level insights and trends.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on operational excellence principles and methodologies, advising teams on best practices to improve sales processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies tailored to sales operations.
- Lead efforts to instil a culture of operational excellence within the organization, promoting accountability, innovation, and a customer-centric approach in all B2B sales activities.
- Support development, implementation, and auditing of global Operational Processes and Standards for B2B sales.
- Work closely with operations to develop a deep understanding of various B2B sales workflows across multiple accounts.
- Analyze each sales operation to understand its purpose, customer journey, operational cadence, high-level systems, reporting, and training requirements.
- Drive operational excellence through best practice sharing, cross-site engagement, and the creation of clear and comprehensive documented procedures.
- Assist operational sites in identifying and overcoming operational issues and support sites in stakeholder management activities as needed.
- Reduce duplication of effort by ensuring the development and alignment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support local operations in improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all operations.
- Facilitate faster onboarding and competency development for new workflows or sites.
- Collaborate with operational sites to ensure SOPs are thoroughly documented and consistently updated.
- Proactively propose improvement initiatives and track their implementation progress.
- Collaborate with local leadership on implementing new projects, including new workflows and site launches, and ensure the adoption of B2B operational best practices.
- Establish and manage governance meetings with accountable owners to track actions, expected quality, and output for all operations.
- Contribute to initiatives such as the culture committee, bonus structures, incentive plans, training, coaching, and cross-site engagement activities to drive a consistent culture across all sites.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, operations, or a related field is highly desired.
- Extensive experience (typically 5-7 years) in operational management, sales operations, or a related field, particularly in a global business environment.
- Experience launching new sales programs, including recruitment, training, and establishing internal & external governance.
- In-depth knowledge of the sales processes, customer relationship management, and operational practices within the B2B sector.
- Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
- Familiarity with operational excellence frameworks and methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM), alongside relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
- Demonstrated experience developing and documenting operational processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, facilitate training, and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional projects from conception through to execution.
- Experience in change management, including the ability to lead organizational change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
- Understanding of global market trends and cultural nuances, with the ability to operate effectively in diverse environments and collaborate with international teams.
