About The Role

Our client is growing and adding a highly experienced Consulting Assistant Controller to their team. You’ll have

the opportunity to make a difference working on multiple small to mid-sized client companies ($5-

100M) and enjoy being a part of a collaborative work environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the transactional, day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure

accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. The key responsibilities include handling invoicing, managing

accounts payable, and processing payroll to maintain smooth financial operations. You will play a critical role in

maintaining accurate records, supporting the broader accounting team with timely and precise financial data.

This role is 100% work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Generate weekly invoices and manage the accounts receivable cycle
  • Generate weekly or biweekly vendor payments
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
  • Process payroll using a variety of payroll providers
  • Assist in the monthly close process
  • Work on multiple, significantly varied client engagements at one time
  • Managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoicing, accounts payable, and payroll processing
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Providing timely and precise financial data to support the broader accounting team and overall business operations

Competencies And Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Experience: 3-6 years as Assistant Controller, Sr. Accountant or Accounting Manager
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Accounting Systems Expertise: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, and other mid-marketing accounting systems
  • GAAP & IFRS Knowledge: Familiar with and exposure to GAAP and IFRS for compliance
  • Accounting Cycle Proficiency: Exposure to full accounting cycle including transaction-level work

Nice-to-Have

  • Certifications: Working towards CPA or CPA eligible is nice to have
  • QuickBooks Certifications
  • Excel: Proficient in transaction reporting
