About the Role
The Business Development Representative at our Client will be a key player in driving the company's expansion. This role involves outbound appointment setting and inside sales calls, with a focus on assisting businesses across the Western, Southern, and Midwestern U.S. regions in overcoming staffing challenges. The BDR will build relationships with business leaders, making the initial contact that leads to successful business partnerships. This position requires a passion for training, goal achievement, and relationship-building, all while contributing to a high-energy, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment.
What you’ll do:
- Make phone calls to prospective clients to introduce the services and establish initial connections.
- Set appointments with hiring managers and company decision-makers to discuss staffing needs.
- Schedule appointments efficiently through Outlook and Microsoft Booking.
- Use CRM to track and manage your pipeline of potential clients.
- Research Ascend Staffing's local markets to identify new opportunities and launch email and phone call campaigns.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and improve conversion rates.
- Meet or exceed targets for appointments set and pipeline growth.
Job requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3-4 years of experience with outbound appointment setting or inside sales calls.
- A strong desire and ability to meet or exceed goals.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with clients professionally.
- Previous leadership experience is not required.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute to team success.
