Main Responsibilities:

QuickBooks Expertise:

* Maintain and update the company's financial data in QuickBooks with precision and efficiency.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable: verify and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
* Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial transactions in QuickBooks.
* Assist in optimizing the use of QuickBooks for streamlined financial management and reporting.


Financial Record Keeping:

* Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and data entry in compliance with company policies.
* Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all financial activities are correctly posted.
* Maintain organized and secure financial records, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
* Track, record, and report on company expenses, ensuring they align with budgets and financial plans.

Support to Accounting Operations:

* Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
* Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
* Manage and monitor accounts receivable, following up on overdue accounts, and coordinating collections efforts.


Administrative and Team Support:

* Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, correspondence, and scheduling.
* Assist in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting and analysis.
* Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors.
* Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.


Experience:

At least 2-4 years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks in a professional accounting setting.
Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in a similar industry.

Skills:

* Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
* Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
QuickBooks Certification or equivalent experience (highly preferred).
