Job Description

Job Summary:

Ensure environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance with all applicable local and national government regulations through periodic review of laws and regulations and regular communication of internal requirements and policies.

The position reports to the EHS Manager.

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance in completing reports and permit applications for government agencies, and internal and external customers.
  • Interfaces with management at all levels regarding environment, health, and safety evaluations and control methods.
  • Establishes and implements environmental compliance programs.
  • Establishes and implements safety compliance programs thereby promoting safe and healthful work practices for protecting personnel, physical assets, and production operations.
  • Establishes and implements full-scope industrial hygiene programs to prevent occupational disease.
  • Prepares internal audit or inspection plan/program and conducts internal EHS MS audits and inspections.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable EHS legal and other requirements.
  • Conducts EHS buy-offs, audits, and workplace surveys.
  • Performs liaison work with the government agencies
  • Secures government permits and prepares required reports.
  • Ensures execution of EHS required trainings.
  • Performs the duties of a Safety Man/Officer as per rule 1040 of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards
  • Perform the following:
    • coordinating product, non-product scrap, and solid wastes hauling schedule
    • ensures crushing equipment, forklifts, weighing scales, and ovens are maintained as scheduled and are kept in good working condition
    • develops waste disposal procedures
    • document or keep records related to hazardous waste storage area operations
  • Perform such other duties that may be assigned from time to time by his supervisor.

  • Education
  • BS Engineering or Physical Sciences Degree
  • Experiences
  • At least 2 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental, safety and industrial hygiene regulations and policies.
  • Basic understanding of Management Systems according to ISO14001 and ISO45001.
  • Able to work in a cross-functional team environment, effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Performance-driven, with basic computer usage skills.
