Position: Driver Dispatch Specialist

Job Summary:
MSV Transport is seeking a dedicated Driver Dispatch Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our owner-operators stay busy with loads they want, all while maintaining clear communication with brokers and drivers. If you have a passion for logistics and love working with drivers and brokers, this position may be for you.

Responsibilities:

1. Morning Location Check: Reach out to drivers (owner-operators) every morning at 7:30 AM to verify their current location and availability for loads.
2. Load Searching & Bidding:
• Actively monitor the Sylectus load board to find suitable loads for our drivers.
• Place competitive bids with brokers on loads that meet the driver’s requirements.
3. Load Assignment & Rate Confirmation:
• If a bid is accepted, promptly send the rate confirmation to the assigned driver.
• Ensure the driver is ready to pick up the load as scheduled.
4. Broker Communication & Load Updates:
• Maintain clear and professional communication with brokers to provide timely updates on load status, driver location, and any issues that arise.

Requirements:

• Experience in dispatching or working within the transportation/logistics industry.
• Familiarity with load boards (especially Sylectus) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers and brokers.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
• Problem-solving mindset to quickly resolve any issues that occur during a load.
