We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child and Family Health Service team as a Social Worker/Psychologist Therapy, where you will be responsible for:
- Specialist psychotherapeutic service to individuals, families and groups with a focus on parenting in the early years, including infants and children at moderate to high risk.
- Professional opinion, support and training for Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) staff in the areas of parent-infant/child relationships, social-emotional health of families, child development, parenting, child protection, assessment and referral.
- Resource development and training in the above areas, to the wider community as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:
- Provide assessment and intervention with infants, young children and families, including culturally and linguistically diverse families and families at moderate to high risk.
- Provide psychotherapy to individuals, families and groups.
- Specialist knowledge of infant and child development, psychological and social issues affecting young children’s development and in particular attachment theory and practice
- Experience in research design and methodology.
- Delivering effective training sessions in related areas
