Our client is a newly established BPO startup in the Philippines, specializing in back office and customer support services for a wellness company operating in the UK and Ireland. The parent company is a consultancy firm based in Gibraltar. All key operations, including voice support, customer service, and booking services, are managed from the Philippines.

Currently, the team consists of 35 to 40 employees, primarily customer service representatives (CSRs), along with 2 Finance Analysts. The company is seeking to hire an HR Generalist who will be pivotal in establishing the HR department and will initially be the sole HR professional within the organization, responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and practices to support the company's growth and operational needs.

Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

An HR Generalist is a versatile HR professional responsible for managing a wide range of human resources functions. The role encompasses tasks such as employee onboarding, retention & engagement, performance management, and HR administration / documentation. Additionally, the role must address employee relations issues and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. The role will also oversee compensation and benefits administration, as well as support training and development initiatives. The role is crucial in ensuring a positive work environment and supporting overall organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Runs the daily functions of the HR Operations ensuring alignment with business goals and directions encompassing these facets: onboarding, retention & engagement, compensation & benefits, performance management, organizational development, and HR administration/documentation
  • Provides professional leadership, support and development of the organization thru training, developmental assignments, sharing and promoting best practices to ensure that relevant and expected professional standards are met
  • Takes the lead in strategizing on the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with the current regulations of the Philippine Labor Code
  • Promotes a people-centric service that supports a healthy employee life cycle within the organization fostering employee development, engagement, motivation, and retention
  • Oversees, facilitates, and resolves management and employee relations matters
  • Provides necessary data and reports on related areas (internal or external in nature), as basis for crucial decision-making
  • Takes a lead role in strengthening organizational values and culture
  • Provide HR policy guidance and work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Perform HR Administrative functions such as document control and maintenance, management of employee records and databases, HR reporting, and data analysis and presentation


Requirements

  • Has a minimum of 4 years as an HR Generalist experience in a BPO setting is required
  • Has a deep understanding of HR practices, policies, and Philippine labor laws, with a strategic approach to HR management
  • Has experience with employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, employee engagement, retention, performance management and offboarding
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage all levels of the organization
  • Has an above average command of the English language both written and verbal
  • Has a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Has the ability to complete work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills shown by the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Has the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality


Location: BGC Taguig, HYBRID Setup 2days onsite, 3 days WFH

Working Hours: 3pm to 12am
