This position requires a detail-orientated individual who can manage accounts

payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping & payroll with precision and efficiency. We are ideally looking for someone who enjoys working in a start-up environment and who brings a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset to their work. We’re bringing our Finance team in-house to support us in our next phase of growth. We want this role to take ownership of the day to day bookkeeping and back end financial processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts Payable Management:

  • Oversee the accounts inbox, review & verify incoming invoices
  • Add bills into Xero & submit for approval
  • Prioritize & schedule payments
  • Prepare payment runs for approval along with necessary documentation

Accounts Receivable:

  • Manage overdue payments & escalations
  • Accurately apply payments received to customer accounts promptly as well as investigate & resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain clear & professional communication with customers regarding account status & responding to billing or payment queries

Bookkeeping:

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts & debit cards
  • Ensure quality control across transitions & card holders

Month-End Accounting:

  • Assist with preparation for month-end work papers

Payroll Set-up & Drafting:

  • Collect & verify all payroll related data
  • Provide payroll variance reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • With 4+ years experience in AU/NZ Accounting.
  • With experience working in a startup tech/SaaS industry.
  • Managed end-to-end accounting (AP, AR, Payroll, and Bookkeeping)
  • Proficient in XERO
  • Comfortable working in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
