Accounting Supervisor (Remote)

Role Overview

ECOM CPA is looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our fast-growing, remote team!

What You’ll Do

• Lead the onboarding process for new clients, establishing and tailoring accounting processes to meet specific client needs.
• Train, mentor, and supervise Accounting Assistants within you team, ensuring the team is proficient and effective in their roles.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of work completed by the team, providing constructive feedback and guidance to maintain high-quality standards.
• Conduct technical accounting work, including complex reconciliations, financial analysis, and preparation of financial statements for key clients within the pod.
• Develop and implement strategic improvements in processes and training, addressing pod-specific requirements and challenges.
• Serve as a primary problem-solver for high-level client inquiries within the pod, offering expert advice and solutions to complex issues.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced understanding of accrual-based accounting principles and in-depth experience with accounting software ( Xero and QuickBooks).
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage both people and complex accounting tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct high-level financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience in e-commerce accounting is highly preferred.
