Opportunity Overview

Teradyne Philippines Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and results-driven HR Partner for Compensation and Benefits, specifically payroll.

The incumbent’s will be a generalist, but specializes and is responsible for the following:

Payroll

  • Oversee and administer the payroll process, ensuring such adheres to legal requirements and company-related policies.
  • Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Finance and other stakeholders regarding payments and deductions and for all matters related to payroll for the site.
  • Coordinates with payroll vendor to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
  • Audits employee pay records to ensure accuracy
  • Manages payroll system implementation and upgrades
  • Interprets pay policies (vacation, LOA, disability, withholding exemptions, etc)
  • Ensures appropriate amounts/ deductions are calculated and applied correctly
  • Participate in internal and external audit requirements of the site.
  • Assists in the creation and/or review and maintain payroll related processes and policies.
  • Conduct and participate in market surveys.
  • Address and facilitate employee queries and requests.
  • Perform other related compensation and benefits tasks and programs.
  • Support benefit programs and ad hoc tasks.

Compliance

  • Proactively ensures that the payroll and processes are efficient and compliant with known standards.
  • Participates in the audit activities of the site.
  • Review, monitor, update, and implement employee policies and procedures that are initiated by the government or are company initiated related to payroll.
  • Participates in regulatory compliance requirements of the site such as DOLE reports, RBA (Responsible Business Alliance), internal and external audit, and labor-related audits pertaining to payroll.
  • Reviews payroll and benefits instruction file(s).

Other Roles

  • Ensures that records and documents related to payroll are recorded accurately and processed timely in accordance with government and company guidelines.
  • Facilitate training sessions related to the function.
  • Create and generate reports and maintain databases.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on services to achieve service excellence.
  • Any other related activities and tasks.

  • Must be a graduate of accounting, or human resources related degree or the equivalent.
  • Must have 5 to 8 years of proven experience in the areas of payroll and compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience in various Comp & Ben work such as salary and benefits review, salary survey, job review, Comp & Ben benchmarking, etc.
  • Must be well-versed with the Philippines employment laws and labor standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience in navigating a human resource management system.
  • Knowledge and experience in navigating time tracking systems.
  • Must be proactive in leading initiatives and programs.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks is a necessity.
  • Ability to perform & deliver under agreed timelines.
  • Has good interpersonal skills and is results-driven.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in the team, employees, and stakeholders
  • Must be keen on details and is highly organized.
