HR Risk and Controls Officer is responsible for overall internal audits and governance routines, including project management and continuous improvements of HR governance framework. The role will primarily modify and enforce standard policy procedures checks to ensure consistency and quality of HR data across the organization

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance HR's risk management, including internal policy audits, policy modification, and creation/maintenance of process documentation and implementation.
  • Create standardized and consistent documentation of materials and reporting for organization.
  • Identify gaps on policies and procedures. Provide insights and recommendations as necessary including but not limited to project intakes and etc
  • Provide oversight and guidance related to HR’s policies.
  • Oversee implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of HR risk governance framework.
  • Improves operational efficiency by effective streamlining processes.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships by providing support and guidance in adhering to Policies and Procedures across Human Resources.
  • Acts as point of contact governing HR policy and procedures.
  • Work Closely with other governing bodies in HR. Liaise and collaborate with other departments as necessary
  • Enables you to develop strategies and action plans to address identified gaps within HR framework and policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Bachelor’s/University degree/Human Resource Management, or other relevant or equivalent experience
  • 4-6 years of experience with a focus in Risk and Control, Operational Risk Governance, Internal/External Audit or Regulatory Compliance.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business procedures, financial services, control, and regulatory industry knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and communicate risk reporting results.
  • 3-5 years of experience within the HR industry; demonstrating strong Human Resource foundation.
  • Understanding of escalation/governance frameworks. Prior experience in supporting, overseeing, and enhancing governance projects and task is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills with peers and stakeholders.
  • Advance skills/experience in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
