Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

The Sr. Staff Auditor will support the preparation of audit services following GAAP and GAGAS standards, participating in planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, drafting financial statements, and finalizing engagement binders. They will work with CCH Engagement for financial statement binders and use Reuters PPC SMART practice aids for audit planning and checklists. This role includes tasks that assist key functions and may be adjusted as needed.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Individuals will assist in the preparation of auditing services in Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAP), and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) engagements, and will participate in the planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, drafting of financial statements, and finalizing engagement binders
  • Individuals will work with CCH Engagement (Client uses for financial statement binders), Reuters PPC SMART practice aids for planning, risk assessment, and audit checklists
  • Perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, which may be altered or redesigned as necessary


Must-have Skills / Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA is preferred
  • Must have experience with CCH and PPC
  • Strong understanding of auditing, accounting, and financial principles
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator, team-oriented, self-motivated with proven ability to effectively work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable with remote working environments and hours
  • Excellent technology skills including Microsoft Office suites
  • Must possess good judgment, tact, sensitivity, and discretion with confidential information, materials, and situations
