Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Security Strategies: Design and enforce IT security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization’s information assets
- Conduct Security Audits: Perform regular security assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions
- Monitor Network Traffic: Continuously monitor network activity to detect unusual patterns and investigate potential security breaches
- Manage Security Tools: Administer security tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems, to ensure optimal performance and protection
- Collaborate with IT Teams: Work with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into system designs and operational processes
- Respond to Security Incidents: Lead incident response efforts, conduct investigations, and implement recovery measures following security breaches
- Stay Updated on Security Trends: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies to proactively address emerging risks
- Proven Success in Cybersecurity: Demonstrated experience in IT security roles, with a track record of effectively managing cybersecurity operations
- Relevant Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
- Strong Skills in Security Technologies: Proficiency in managing security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption solutions
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities and develop effective security solutions
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-security standards
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
