Key Responsibilities:

Leadership; Oversight:

 Lead and manage a team of 25+ accounting professionals, including Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Special Projects teams.

 Develop metrics and reporting tools to monitor and communicate team performance in terms of efficiency and accuracy to the US VP of Accounting Operations and COO.

 Establish and oversee internal training programs for new hires and professional development of existing team members.

 Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to foster a high-performance culture.

Strategic Planning:

 Provide thought leadership that support the company mission, values, and brand standards, and enforce compliance with administrative policies and procedures.

 Execute operating expectations, performance evaluations, action plans, coaching, training, and all other administrative and leadership functions, to build a strong team, and deliver a favorable team performance.

 Design and optimize team structure, maintaining open communication with the US team regarding staffing needs to meet objectives.

 Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and development within the team.

 Review current SOPs and compare across client groups to identify areas for process optimization.

 Challenge and improve existing processes to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline accounting operations, ensuring effective use of Restaurant365 and other restaurant management tools.

 Troubleshoot issues and provide root-cause analysis, proposing solutions for approval by the US team.

 Implement project management tools to assess, track, and report on the progress of team-wide initiatives.

Technical Expertise:

 Become a subject matter expert in the technology used by the team and clients, including Restaurant365 Accounting software, various restaurant POS systems, payroll software, proprietary internal systems, and Excel.

 Gain a deep understanding of company accounting standards and directives.

 Assist in documenting processes and developing universal SOPs for use across all clients.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.

 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.

 Prior experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.

 Proven experience in leading offshore teams.

 Comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices and standard operating procedures.

 Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

 Proficient in various accounting software systems and tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.

 Advanced proficiency in Excel.
