Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Payroll Coordination and Operations Manager (APAC) for Big 4 Company in Manila, with the flexibility for remote work. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing payroll services, managing operations, analyzing data, ensuring employee benefits compliance, and optimizing payroll management processes.

A dynamic and experienced Senior Payroll Coordination and Operations Manager with 3-20 years of experience in payroll management across APAC countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. This role is essential for ensuring efficient payroll operations and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration & Governance: Work closely with the operations lead on daily activities such as project management, escalation resolution, and payroll governance.
  • Internal Partnerships: Partner with global Internal Payroll teams to ensure payrolls are delivered timely and meet quality standards according to contractual requirements.
  • Documentation & Processes: Create and maintain control documentation, process flows, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Client Escalations: Manage escalations from clients and provide insights to the Payroll leadership team regarding potential risks related to payroll.
  • Communication Management: Oversee communications with clients and local teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Contracting Support: Assist with contracting requirements such as Variations in Scope Requests and Change Request Notes.
  • Financial Management: Support monthly financial activities including budget preparation and invoice issuance.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular reports for clients on agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain access to relevant platforms used in engagements.
  • Calendar & Reporting Preparation: Prepare annual calendars for global payroll clients and consolidate reports for delivery to clients (e.g., monthly consolidated tax files).
  • Issue Resolution: Collaborate with local teams to resolve issues and communicate effectively with clients regarding resolutions.
  • Issue Logging: Maintain and update issue logs for each engagement to track progress and resolutions.
  • Stock Vesting Coordination: Request information from local countries regarding stock vesting quarterly, consolidate responses, and share findings with clients.
  • Project Planning: Prepare project plans, provide weekly status updates, and assist with ad hoc requests as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll coordination across APAC countries; 10+ years preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel; knowledge of HCM systems like Workday is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
Compensation:
  • Competitive salary ranging from 60,000 PHP to 120,000 PHP based on experience.
