As a Senior Scrum Master, you will support our Engineering Scrum Teams and help the company build high-impact software and features that deliver value to our customers. You will be responsible for keeping our scrum teams focused by guiding them, helping clear their blockers and ensuring that they have what they need to be successful in what they do.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective communication among team members
  • Actively monitor team's progress on commitments, taking proactive measures to ensure they are on track, and keeping all parties updated on progress and changes
  • Champion agile values, principles, and practices within the organization
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance Agile practices to improve software delivery effectiveness.
  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including stand-up meetings, sprint meetings, retrospectives, etc.
  • Help product Owners refine, arrange, and optimize product backlogs
  • Remove roadblocks that can hinder team progress
  • Help with release planning and deployment activities
  • Onboard, train, and mentor scrum team members
  • Monitor the team’s progress and health, applying strategies for ongoing improvement
  • Coach members to increase team effectiveness and organizational impact
  • Guide the team towards driving results at an organizational level
  • Facilitate self-organization within teams, empowering team members to take ownership and drive initiatives.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years as a Scrum Master (or in a similar role)
  • Lives and breathes the principles of true leadership, with a focus on serving as a positive example, being proactive, and prioritizing problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification (preferably, but not required)
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
