The main responsibility of a web developer intern is to learn to develop features for new and existing web projects that can be either backend or frontend development. Candidates must have at least working knowledge and experience with software development.

Responsibilities

Develop features that require either backend or frontend development (We’ll assess which areas you excel in)
Learn how to work closely with the teams (including design, engagement management, and research) to contribute to strategy and execution that helps meet the needs of our clients on time
Learn how to apply unit tests to assigned features
Learn how to follow the software development process
Research existing methodologies and technologies that projects may require
Learn how to provide estimated timelines for new projects and features and weekly updates requested by managers
Learn how to write assessments for new major features
Learn how to organize assigned tasks
Gen AI Track: Learn to build Generative AI features for Social Commerce

Skills and Experience

Knowledgeable with RESTful API services
Version control techniques using tools such as Git, Github, and GitLab
Must be a team player
Can perform in a fast-paced environment, team player, proactive in tasks, and mature
Passion and aptitude to quickly learn new concepts and technologies
Good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to document technical design and installation/deployment processes
Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Languages

What to Expect on the Job

90-day Internship Program
2 weeks of training to familiarize yourself with Ruby or Rails, 1-week learning GraphQL, and 1-week learning VueJS
4 weeks immersion program to participate in building features in production
4 weeks learning how to work with GPT4o APIs in building generative AI features
Pass monthly assessments
Pass the 1st Assessment on 3rd-week of the program building a CRUD web app with Ruby on Rails
Pass 1st Assessment on 5th-week assessment building a CRUD web app with web services using GraphQL
Pass the immersion program assessment
Pass the Gen AI feature-building assessment
Interns are expected to learn independently via given modules with the mentorship assistance of senior developers
Write down daily progress reports (Journal)
Due to the current work-from-home setup, interns are expected to have the following:
Your working terminal (laptop/desktop)
A stable internet connection
