What will you do?
The IT Testing Lead role provides expertise in planning, designing, executing test scenarios, and defect management from reporting to resolution throughout our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Ensure that all testing outcomes are readily available and comprehensible. Apply business and functional expertise, including testing standards, guidelines, and methodologies, in both manual and automated testing to achieve the team's testing goals. Collaborate with the product owner to establish and implement a test environment management process throughout our application landscape
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
Generic Responsibilities: Design test strategy & approach, test plan, test scenarios, test data and environment management for one or more project test streams.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Contribute on developing, improving, and maintaining testing standards and practices.
- Design test strategy for projects under Integrated Delivery Platforms portfolio.
- Inform the project team of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.
- Lead automation testing initiatives, employing industry-leading tools and frameworks to streamline testing processes and enhance test coverage.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and test suites to support regression testing and continuous integration practices.
- Collaborate with application owners and technical teams to developed and manage test environments, ensuring they are properly set up, configured, and maintained to support efficient and effective testing activities.
- Collaborated with stakeholders to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
- Must have worked in an Agile delivery methodology
What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.
- 7+ years of experience in testing and quality assurance with bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in lieu of education
- In-depth knowledge of test data and environment management principles and practices, including setup, configuration, and maintenance of testing environments.
- Proficient in leading and managing automation testing efforts, including the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts on any proprietary test automation tool.
- Creation of Test Data and Environment Management strategy
- Creation of test automation framework (ACCELQ, Tosca, Microfocus, UiPath)
- Creation of defects and experience on using defect management tools, i.e., Jira, Xray, Confluence
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve success.
- Strong understanding of STLC concepts within the overall project life cycle and Defect Management tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
